Amalur (ah-muh-LOOR)
The world; setting for Reckoning. During the Age of Arcana, magic in Amalur has become more potent and chaotic
Almain (AHL-main)
Kingdom of noble humans who personify knightly tradition
Varani (vuh-RAH-nee)
Hardy humans known as traders and mercenaries. Though civilized, they are far less formal than the Almain.
Ljosalfar (LO-sal-far)
Light elves from the frozen north. Dedicated to the principle of justice
Dokkalfar (DAHK-al-far)
Alluring, magical dark elves. Inhabit the port city of Rathir
Gnomes
Scholars, inventors, soldiers, and schemers. The gnomes have built the Well of Souls as a means of offering immortality, but so far it has only worked once - on the player character
Fae (fay)
Magical beings dedicated to preserving the natural order. Divided into two main branches: Seelie (Summer Fae) and Unseelie (Winter Fae)
Tuatha (too-AH-tha)
Sect of Unseelie Fae that has started a war against the elves
Ost Ordura (OH-st OR-jer-uh)
A grizzled veteran of the Warsworn order. Your commander on this mission.
Warsworn
A mercenary guild famed and feared throughout all Amalur. They are the legacy of a line of ancient heroes
Hireling
A recruit to the Warsworn order. Hirelings are not yet members
 Pledgeshield
The first full rank in the Warsworn. You have proved yourself a capable and honorable fighter
Oathblade
This senior rank honors the bearer as versed in all the ways of the Warsworn
Fahrlangi (far-LONG-ee)
A mysterious sect of mages who have been calling forth Niskaru in the depths of Brigand Hall Caverns
Belen
The god of death
Belen's Testament
A dark cult who worship Belen, god of death
Niskaru (niss-CAR-oo) 
A predator born of pure chaos, which can be called across the veil from Esharra. A fool might call one a demon, but a scholar knows better
Brigand's Hall Caverns
Long a den of woodland rogues, its paths are riddled with traps and hidden treasure. Lately, however, they have become home to a new enemy of Order

Garreth Rill
An almost forgotten famed highwayman, defeated at last by the Warsworn's current leader
Heart of Sibun (SIGH-bun)
An ancient relic that can be used to call forth more than one, lesser Niskaru at a time
Lorca-Rane (LORE-cah RAIN)
A remote corner of Dalentarth where the ruins of some long-forgotten kingdom poke up from among the brush and trees. Home to Brigand Hall Caverns
